An enterprise agility coach helps a business implement agile practices by formalizing the practice and being responsible for the function. While the role and responsibility can be assigned to almost any employee with the requisite skills and experience, organizations have come to realize that having someone responsible for agile objectives and their implementation pays dividends in the long run. An agile coach is responsible for working with teams, leadership (to implement business-wide agile transformation) and as a repository of expertise and excellence in practice. They help to work towards these objectives and also hire others to share in the work to evolve the role based on the organization’s needs.
