One of the largest flea markets in Florida, the Waldo flea market attracts bargain hunters from all over the north of the state. Opened in the mid 1970s, the market covers around 50 acres and routinely boasts about 900 dealers. The market has both indoor and outdoor vendors, making it popular with around 20,000 visitors each weekend, regardless of the weather. As well as the flea market, there’s a large indoor antique center, selling everything from furniture to plates, vases and collectibles. And like all good flea markets, there are several places to eat and drink, and take a break from all that shopping. The market is typically open every weekend and also has a program of events, including live music and wrestling. It makes a convenient day trip from Jacksonville, and is within easy reach of several of Florida’s east coast resorts.
