Many mother’s make the important decision to breastfeed their babies. While this is definitely a good thing and is certainly in the baby’s best interest, it’s important to consider what would happen if mom was suddenly not available. Things happen. Maybe mom gets sick or just needs to catch up on some much-needed sleep. Perhaps she wants to go out and spend some time with friends or attend a special event. Even the most dedicated moms will find times when they simply can’t be on demand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Fortunately, there are some excellent baby bottles for breastfed babies that simulate the breastfeeding experience for those times when a bottle becomes necessary. If possible, mom might pump breast milk to be used in the bottle when she’s not available. These bottles have nipples designed to be more like the real thing and they often require the baby to put a bit more effort into sucking, much like they would if they were nursing.
