Sometimes, sitting for too long can have consequences for your body and even your psychological health. Studies have shown that too much sitting can increase your risk of heart issues. When you can stand while you work, you improve the blood and oxygen flow throughout your body. You stretch your legs. It’s easier to move around. Walking away from your desk is more natural, and there’s simply a better flow to your work day. This doesn’t have to be the way you work all the time; alternate between a standing and sitting desk for optimal comfort. You may find you’re more productive as well.
