Ransomware Climbs The Ladder

Ransomware attacks have been in the news a lot recently. While most people assume that they are too insignificant for these big internet gangs to mess with, they are wrong. They get inside big corporate networks by hijacking the credentials of some low level employee and then go to town once they are inside.

It is much easier for them to penetrate your home network, which then gives them access to your work credentials afterwards. Plus, even if they are unsuccessful in breaking into your company’s network, they still can suck up all your own personal banking information so you wake up broke one morning.

The way to prevent this is to subscribe to a competent PC virus removal service. Don’t just assume that being hacked can’t happen to you. Chances are pretty good that at least one of your online passwords has already been stolen by somebody somewhere. In other words, you’ve already been hacked but you haven’t been activated yet.
