The Benefits Of Ergotherapy

Ergotherapy is an approach to health that emphasizes the use of physical activities, mental exercises and social therapeutic approaches to the treatment of disease in a person. It mainly supports and assists people that are restricted in their ability to act freely in their lives and seeks to promote their health by enabling them to undertake meaningful and purposeful activities throughout their lives. Treatments under this approach seek to recover, develop or maintain the daily activities and life skills of people who are suffering from a physical, mental or developmental issue.

Ergotherapy is a person-centered, holistic approach to health care that places the client at the center of therapeutic practice which uses interventions to help them to adapt to their environment, modify tasks so they are manageable, teaching them new skills and educate family and other individuals how they can help participate in this process with the client.
