Symptoms Of Low Testosterone

 

Testosterone is a male sex hormone that controls sexual development and other bodily functions in men. Testosterone is mainly produced during puberty where it results in the growth of body and facial hair and the development of sexual functions such as sperm production. Testosterone levels fall naturally as men get older and can cause certain changes in a man’s body and specific and non/specific symptoms. Specific low testosterone symptoms can include the following:

• Lowered sex drive and decrease in libido
• Feeling tired and fatigued
• Reduction in muscle mass
• Irritability and mood swings
• Erectile dysfunction or losing the ability to maintain an erection
• Depression

Non-specific symptoms of testosterone deficiency that may be linked include:

• Lower physical strength and endurance
• Loss of memory
• Difficulty choosing words when speaking
• Having poor focus on people or events
Poor performance at work
