Maternity Care For Female Veterans

The Veterans Affairs (VA) system of the United States government supports female veterans on matters related to motherhood, particularly in deciding when it is the right time for them to bear children.

It doesn’t matter whether women veterans are staying away from getting pregnant or looking to build or expand an existing family. VA is on hand ready to provide a wide array of services in support of the reproductive goals of servicewomen.

A good example of what the VA offers is the provision of Maternity Care Coordinators for female military personnel ready to start a family or add a new member to their existing one. These coordinators are not just experts in their fields but also sympathetic to the needs of women veterans. They have thorough knowledge of health care services which enables them to properly guide servicewomen in knowing their way around the system. Support is provided throughout the entire pregnancy period so that the soon-to-be-mom veteran gets the right care she needs, when she needs it.

Healthy pregnancy entails planning, and VA makes sure women veterans get the best maternity care services because these special women deserve nothing less.
