3 Tips For Camping Alone As A Woman

Camping is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature. The camping experience can be enhanced by camping alone, but there are some things you should keep in mind when camping without other people. Here are three tips that will help you stay safe while camping solo.

Bring A Tent The camper has its own space to sleep in and store camping gear. Although not as much as a full camping shelter, a tent can provide some protection from the weather (although not as much as a full camping shelter). It is possible for someone who camps solo to share with another individual or couple, which will reduce costs.

Pack Enough Food Pack enough food for both meals and snacks (you don’t want to run out of food on day two of camping!), and pack food that is light, compact, won’t spoil if left out in the sun for a long time. Bring dried fruit or trail mix rather than canned goods – they are lighter to carry and more nutritious because you can control how much sugar goes into your body.

You Can Never Be Too Cautious Review the camping area map and make a “mental” list of any potential hazards, such as steep drop-offs or areas where camping is not allowed. Bring enough toiletry items to last for at least three days (soap, toothbrush/paste, tampons).

Camping alone as a woman can be great because you have complete freedom to do what you want with your time!
